Lindsay Lohan completes 48-hour drug detox as she settles in at rehab... but she's still allowed her Adderall

It is abused by those hoping to lose weight, but for the genuinely ill the drug Adderall can transform lives.
And Lindsay Lohan is to be allowed to continue to take the prescription drug during her spell in rehab - at least for now.
On her entry to the  Betty Ford Clinic in Indio, California, Lohan was required to undergo a 48-hour drug detox, which she has just successfully completed.

'Lindsay was placed in detox for almost forty-eight hours,' a source told Radar. 'She is adapting to being back at Betty Ford and is very receptive to the care plan that has been created for her.'

But the former child star has a prescription for Adderall, following a diagnosis for Attention Deficit Disorder.
This means she can continue to take the drug until her diagnosis is to be assessed afresh by doctors.
A source told website TMZ: 'Doctors are currently evaluating Lindsay's diagnosis and the efficacy of the drug.  If doctors disbelieve her diagnosis or the usefulness of Adderall, they will cut her off.'
Lohan has taken the drug for years and believes she cannot function without it.
Her choice of rehab for her 90-day court-ordered stay was said to depend on finding one that would allow her both to continue taking the drug, and to smoke.
In an interview with the Daily Mail just last week she explained: 'I have severe ADD. I can’t stand still.
'So I take Adderall for that, it calms me.'
Lohan admitted that she knew the drug could be abused by those keen to experience its side effects.
'I know people who take it to stay up, or girls who take it to supposedly stay slim because it kills your appetite.
'But I eat all the time. I just take it to stay calm. It works well for me.'

She also admitted to using illegal drugs on occasion in the interview, along with tranquiliser Trazodone.
An admission document from the clinic to Lindsay suggests that any dependency she's hiding will be truly sniffed out. 
Each patient at the clinic is assigned a physician, nurse, psychologist, primary counsellor, case manager, spiritual care counsellor, family counsellor, dietician, fitness trainer and chemical dependency technician.

The first 72 hours of any stay will be taken up with assessments from these professionals, who will then create a specially tailored plan.
With Lohan having completed her initial detox she has now moved to a room on a female-only wing of the clinic.
Although most rooms are shared Lohan has her own for now.
The troubled star celebrated a small triumph on Tuesday, as she reached an out-of-court settlement with Grigor Balyan, the Los Angeles paparazzo who claimed Lohan and her assistant ran over his foot outside a nightclub in 2010.
