With the end of awards season Jennifer Garner is taking a more relaxed approach to the red carpet.
The actress looked more like a 1950s housewife than a sex siren as she posed at an event on Sunday.
But the mumsy outfit of dress and a cardy was perfect for the event  - a children's charity.

The mother of three can really dazzle on the red carpet but on Sunday she opted for matronly glamour to attend the John Varvatos 10th Annual Stuart House Benefit with husband Ben Affleck.
Jennifer, 40, wore a tailored pale pink plaid frock with knee-length hem that was assisted by a neon pink cardigan and ankle-strap open-toe heels.
She wore her chestnut hair loosely curled with sides tucked behind each ear.
Ben, also 40, wowed in black trousers, an ivory snap-button jumper and grey dress jacket, along a pair of polished shoes.

The Argo star and director even appeared to have cleaned up his beard a little for the star-studded occasion.
The couple left their little ones - Violet, seven, Seraphina, four, and one-year-old Samuel - at home to attend the event together, although they shied away from posing together on the arrivals line.
Other celebrities attending the event, which took place at the John Varvatos store in Los Angeles, included Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber.

Aerosmith rockers Steven Tyler and Joe Perry dropped by for a glittering appearance, and television personality Louise Roe and True Blood hunk Joe Manganiello were also on hand to lend their support.
Naomi arrived in an airy beige smock with red and blue design that fell slightly above the knee.
The fair-skinned beauty stayed covered in a chic pair of large-frame sunglasses and trilby hat with black band.
