Rosario Dawson looks glamorous in a thigh-skimming dress (shame about the Ugg boots)

It's pretty tough work to be fashionable in the cold.
So when Rosario Dawson was faced with nearly freezing temperatures on Friday as she was shooting her latest film in Niagara Falls, Canada, it was no wonder she had to stay bundled up.
Beneath the warm attire, Rosario looked glamorous in an off-the-shoulder red dress that looked more suitable for a summer party than a wintry day in Canada.

The 33-year-old is no stranger to the cold, having been raised on the American side of the falls in New York City.
But she still had to find a way to keep herself warm between takes, which explained the odd matching of the UGG boots and oversized red fleece jacket.
The Rent actress wore her long dark locks off to the side, her curls falling loosely over her shoulder.

Rosario, who has been dating British film-maker Danny Boyle, recently has been sporting a buzz cut on the left side of her head, which it looked as though she was trying to cover up.  
She topped off her glamorous look with light make-up, which only served to enhance her natural glow.
The Rent actress is set to have a busy year in 2013 with 5 films set for release, including the sequel to the 2005 noir drama Sin City.

Rosario met her 56-year-old beau last summer when she was cast in his new film Trance.
The project is his first film since releasing 127 Hours starring James Franco in 2010.
The dramatic thriller tells the story of an art auctioneer who has become mixed up with a group of criminals and partners with a hypnotherapist in order to recover a lost painting.
Scarlett Johansson, Melanie Thierry and Zoe Saldana were considered for Rosario's role as movie heroine Elizabeth.
