They are known as the friendly faces of family TV with impressive squeaky clean images.
But Ant and Dec have shown there’s more to them than their cheeky smiles and have proved they can be tough as they dressed up as gangsters Ronnie and Reggie Kray in images for Hunger Magazine.
The Britain’s Got Talent hosts displayed their serious sides in the menacing images, taken by renowned photographer Rankin, as they interviewed each other in behind-the-scenes footage.

Serious: Ant and Dec dressed up as The Kray twins in a very different shoot for them in Hunger Magazine
And showing they aren’t always all smiles the TV presenters looked down at the camera without even a hint of a smirk.
For their next shot the pair stood in a 60’s style house again posed up in an intimidating manner.

Fashion: Ant and Dec have surprised by appearing in the magazine
Not discouraged Dec continued: ‘Now you've interviewed some big names over the years Ant. Who's been the most difficult? It's normally the Americans isn't it?’
Being more serious this time Ant replied: ‘It's not normally them, it's their entourage.’
Then it was time for Ant to asks the questions so he began by saying to Dec: ‘Does turning 40 scare you?’
Dec replied: ‘It doesn't scare me, but I can't say I'm looking forward to it. No one looks forward to getting old do they?’
Continuing the questioning Ant asked: ‘If you could, what would you change about yourself?’
But while Dec tried to say he wouldn’t change anything Ant began to poke fun at his height.
The interview and shoot comes just a few days before the duo will return to TV screens for Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday evening.
They haven’t been away for long though as they have only just finished their show Saturday Night Takeaway.
Ant and Dec have also of course been back on the music scene recently after their single Let’s Get Ready To Rhumble remarkably topped the charts, after it was originally released in 1994.
