I wish I was on the slopes! Pregnant Kate misses the cable car as William and Harry strap on their skis on winter break in Swiss Alps

Posted on 6:11 PM by dvdsvdsdv

The Duchess of Cambridge was seen taking a solitary walk in the Swiss mountains earlier today, shortly after enjoying a post-celebratory brunch following yesterday’s wedding of friends the Royal family.
Carrying her black jacket on her arm she wore a loose-fitting spotted top which revealed a hint of her blossoming baby bump.
While the Duchess opted for a walk in the sunshine, her husband Prince William and his brother Harry were skiing with friends in another part of the resort.

Accompanied by three royal protection officers, the Duchess enjoyed the sun at the Arosa resort where she, her husband and brother-in-law were guests at yesterday’s wedding of London 2012 dressage champion Laura Bechtolsheimer and polo player Mark Tomlinson.
She teamed the outfit with black skinny jeans and furry black snow boots, similar to the designer £300 Mukluk boots that Prince Harry bought girlfriend Cressida Bonas during their recent holiday in Verbier last month.

A tourist from Germany, who was walking with his wife, said: ‘She was walking down the hill with three men. She was very sweet and smiled at people who looked at her. She seemed to be taking in the scenery.’
Not far from the Duchess’s hiking trail, the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry were spotted skiing with friends around the same time.
Prince William wore a sensible black helmet and goggles, while his younger brother went for an outlandish shiny red jacket teamed with a dark-blue woolly hat and reflective sunglasses.

At one point, both brothers stopped on the slopes to embrace two blonde female friends. Prince Harry appeared to slip as he did so and had to throw his ski poles out to his side to steady himself.
Kate and Prince William, who was an usher at the wedding of close friend Mark Tomlinson and Laura Bechtolsheimer , stayed at the five-star hotel owned by the bride’s billionaire grandfather, where the reception was held on Saturday.
Suites at the Tschuggen Grand Hotel cost up to £2,450-a-night and include use of a private 12-seat ski lift to whisk people straight up to the slopes.
Guests found skis, poles and ski passes in their rooms – while a traditional wooden toboggan was provided for the pregnant Duchess.
While Prince William and Harry went skiing on Friday, Kate - usually a keen skier herself - picked the relatively safer option of sledging with a friend and her baby.
Locals said she laughed out loud as she sped down a one-kilometre-long winding slope on the side of the stunning Graubünden mountains.

A Swiss skier told the Mail: ‘She tucked her legs up and just went. I thought it was very brave for a pregnant woman, because it was on quite an incline.
‘She looked like she was having a good time and was smiling and laughing all the way down. It seemed she was always smiling.’
The Duchess wrapped up warm in Mukluk-style boots and a dark-brown sheepskin £745 L.K. Bennett jacket, which she usually wears to walk her puppy, Lupo, in Hyde Park.
After sledging, she met the 235-strong wedding party for a pre-wedding meal on the terrace of a mountain-top restaurant, where they ate the traditional dish of raclette.
Onlookers said that, while many of the group drank copious amounts of red and white wine, she stuck to sparkling apple juice.
The bride’s grandparents are understood to have picked up the £13,400 bill.

Miss Bechtolsheimer, 28, who won a gold and bronze medal in dressage at the London 2012 Olympics, is the granddaughter of the German billionaire property magnate Karl-Heinz Kipp, 88, who founded the Massa chain of department stores.
Mr Kipp, who owns four luxury hotels in Switzerland, including the Tschuggen, gave the bridal party exclusive use of the hotel, which boasts five restaurants and two bars, an indoor and outdoor pool and a luxury spa.
William travelled with the other groomsmen to the wedding in a black Mercedes, while his wife and brother travelled with other guests in a cheerful blue bus with pictures of flowers and a sun painted on the side.
Prince Harry did not bring his new girlfriend, dance student Cressida Bonas, 24, whom he holidayed with in the Swiss ski resort of Verbier last month.

Corinne Denzler, a manager at the Tschuggen hotel, said: ‘The royals were lovely and were just like normal guests. They did not want any special treatment.’
At the lavish hotel reception, guests enjoyed a seven-course meal of dishes including lobster salad, veal steak and chocolate and raspberry mousse.
Guests were then invited to use a pastel-coloured merry-go-round which had been specially installed in the hotel grounds.
The Duke and Duchess and Prince Harry then partied until late into the night with fellow guests.
One said: ‘It was a pretty wild night. Everyone was dancing, including the royals.
‘It went on until the early hours of the morning. At about 6am, one guy even took his clothes off streaked across the balcony.’
Another source said: ‘Let’s just say it was a good party. No one retired before midnight.’ The next morning, to ease their weary heads, guests enjoyed a brunch cooked by Michelin-star chef Tobias Jochim.
The Duchess is understood to have left the snow-capped mountains on Sunday evening to fly back to England in time for a royal engagement in Grimsby on Tuesday where she will visit the town’s fishing heritage centre, a school and Humberside Fire and Rescue.

'I'm keeping all four!' What this courageous mother replied when doctors said: Sacrifice two of your quads to save the others

Posted on 6:08 PM by dvdsvdsdv

Pregnant with quadruplets, Emma Robbins was told again and again that she should terminate two of her babies to give the others a better chance of survival.
Again and again, she told doctors she had no intention of sacrificing any of her boys, who were conceived naturally at odds of 750,000 to one.
Now she has all the proof she needed that her instinct was right: four happy, healthy and utterly adorable one-year-olds.

Emma Robbins was told when she was pregnant that she should terminate two of her two babies to save the others but she decided to keep them all
Mrs Robbins told the consultant that she was keeping all four babies after an overwhelming sense of love rushed through her
Zachary, Joshua, Reuben and Sam had their first birthday party yesterday. The brothers are even more remarkable because they were born on February 29 last year – at odds of 3.5million to one – so will celebrate their true birthday only once every four years.
Mrs Robbins, 31, and her husband Martin, 39, already had a son, three-year-old Luke, when they tried for what they thought would be their second child.
Mrs Robbins said: ‘Never in a million years did we think we’d have four babies at once. I’d be lying if I said it was easy, but we’re so glad we never gave up on our babies.’
She added: ‘At ten weeks I was a lot larger than I’d been with Luke and I was suffering from horrendous morning sickness. I was worried that something might be wrong.
‘The sonographer looked at both of us wide-eyed, turned the screen to us, then said she could see three amniotic sacs and not just two babies but four. And not just quads but identical twins as well.’
Mrs Robbins said her husband, a sign-maker, ‘looked numb and just laughed’. The next time they visited St Michael’s Hospital in Bristol, the consultant congratulated them – but then warned the couple they should consider terminating some or all of the babies.
‘He told us the risks were so high it would put me in danger and the babies too,’ she said.

‘He said we had three options. We could terminate the pregnancy, reduce the pregnancy by terminating some of the embryos, or carry on. Instinctively I clutched my bump. An overwhelming sense of love rushed through me and I told him that we were keeping all four of them.’

The former project manager, who lives in Bristol, said the same advice was given after her 12-week scan.
She said: ‘I’d just been scanned and had been told everything looked fine but now he was pointing out the risks again and asking me to consider aborting the twins for the sake of the other two. I was beginning to feel pressured and it didn’t feel fair. We’d already made our decision.
‘All our babies were doing well. We’d seen their tiny outlines on the screen and we’d already begun to think of them individually.’  Once again, at 16 weeks into the pregnancy, the couple were told to consider aborting the twins. Mrs Robbins said: ‘By now I felt under immense pressure and I was getting angry.

‘Each time I went to the hospital it was all about the risks and asking me to consider aborting the twins to save the other two babies. But I knew that each time I looked at my surviving babies I’d also be thinking about the ones I’d lost. The thought of it broke my heart.’
At Mrs Robbins’s 18-week scan the consultant warned her again, saying 20 weeks would be the last time a termination or selective reduction would be possible.
She said: ‘By now we’d found out that all our babies were boys and as soon as he’d finished I told him it wasn’t an option and that was final.
‘We didn’t know how we’d manage financially and practically but I felt it must have happened for a reason. I decided I’d do everything in my power to give birth to four healthy babies.’
On February 29 last year, two months before her due date, Mrs Robbins went into labour. Reuben was the first to be delivered by caesarean section, weighing 2lb 14oz, followed by  Zachary, 2lb 8oz, and his twin Joshua, 3lb 1oz, and finally Sam, 2lb 13oz.
After two months in hospital, the boys, whom Mrs Robbins calls her ‘little miracle Peter Pans’ were strong enough to be taken home – where they soon made their presence felt. She said: ‘Each night the babies would wake up one after the other and start screaming, which would wake Luke up too.
‘We had to turn our lounge into the nursery and would take in turns to sleep down there. With four breastfeeds to coordinate every four hours, day and night, as well as bottles, 30 nappy changes and endless baths, life was exhausting.’
And as the boys get bigger, so do the challenges. Mrs Robbins said: ‘When they’re all in the buggy together it weighs ten stone. Pushing it is a serious workout.’

Torres hates putting on the blue of Chelsea and needs to leave, claims Collymore

Posted on 6:07 PM by dvdsvdsdv

Stan Collymore has urged Fernando Torres to leave Chelsea for his own good.
The former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker believes the Spaniard is finding his time at Stamford Bridge dark, desperate and lonely.
Torres, who cost £50million, failed to flourish under Carlo Ancelotti, Andre Villas-Boas and Roberto Di Matteo.
Now interim manager Rafa Benitez, who helped Torres find the best form of his career at Liverpool, cannot help his compatriot to get back among the goals.

'It’s all over for the striker now. His confidence is beyond shot,' wrote Collymore in his Sunday People column.
'He will put on the blue of Chelsea every day and he will hate it, as he will the daily drive to Cobham for training.'
Collymore continued: 'I have said this before and I have to say it again: It’s time to go, Fernando. For your sake, and yours alone.'

British judge who ruled in favour of Samsung against Apple in patent lawsuit has new job - with Samsung

British judge who ruled in favour of Samsung against Apple in patent lawsuit has new job - with Samsung

Lord Justice Jacob at his swearing in as Lord Justice of Appeal: He has been hired by Samsung as an expert witness in a patent disputeLord Justice Jacob at his swearing in as Lord Justice of Appeal: He has been hired by Samsung as an expert witness in a patent dispute
The appeals-court judge who forced Apple to make a high profile apology to Samsung has been hired by the South Korean firm as an expert witness in its latest patent dispute.
Sir Robin Jacob will testify on behalf of Samsung during the US International Trade Commission investigation into the company's patent dispute with Ericsson.
The retired judge, who is now a professor of law at University College, London, made headlines last year when he accused Apple of a 'lack of integrity'.
It came the Silicon Valley said it would take them two weeks to properly comply with a court order that it publish a notice that it had lost an earlier legal fight with Samsung.
Sir Robin's involvement with Samsung has raised eyebrows in the legal world. Such expert witnesses are often paid thousands of dollars for appearances.
Florian Mueller, a patent blogger and intellectual property consultant, who first spotted Sir Robin’s name in the case in filings to the ITC, said the involvement with Samsung's latest patent dispute 'just doesn't feel right'.
'For someone so concerned with 'integrity' it is utterly unusual to issue a high-profile and extreme ruling in favour of a particular party ... only to be hired as an expert by that same party in another dispute,' he said.
He added: 'It gives the impression that a judge who deals Samsung's number one rival a huge PR blow, in a way that I found very extreme and unjustified, will be generously rewarded.
'For that reason alone, I think both Samsung and Sir Robin Jacob should not have done this.
'What would people say if Judge Lucy Koh, a few months after denying Apple a permanent injunction against Samsung, returned to private practice and was hired as an "expert" by Samsung in a German litigation with Ericsson?'

In November last year, Sir Robin was one of three Court of Appeal judges who ordered Apple to alter a statement on its website acknowledging it had lost a legal dispute with Samsung over the Galaxy Tab.
Apple had complained that the Samsung Galaxy Tab was too similar to its iPad.

But a judge at the High Court in London ruled last July that the Samsung Galaxy Tab was not 'cool' enough to be confused with Apple's iPad - a decision upheld on appeal.
In the subsequent litigation, Samsung said Apple had on October 26 published a notice on its website acknowledging defeat - in 'purported compliance' with a Court of Appeal order.
But the firm complained that Apple had added an account of court proceedings in Germany and the United States which was 'inaccurate and misleading'.
Judges agreed. 'What Apple added was false and misleading,' Sir Robin said in a subsequently published written decision.
'There is a false innuendo that the UK court's decision is at odds with decisions in other countries whereas that is simply not true.'

He added that Apple bosses had shown a 'lack of integrity' by saying staff would need two weeks to make 'minor changes' to the company website - and gave them 48 hours to comply.
The court also ordered Apple to run a newspaper advert with the amended text telling the public of the ruling that Samsund had not infringed its patents.
In a written statement to the Financial Times, a Samsung spokesman defended Sir Robin's appointment as an expert witness for the company's latest intellectual property dispute.
'Sir Robin Jacob is not a legal representative of Samsung Electronics,' the spokesman said.
'A highly reputed intellectual property expert and academic, Sir Robin has been contracted as an expert by a law firm that represents Samsung Electronics in its case against Ericsson.'

'I will have a child': Rihanna reveals baby plans with Chris Brown as she sizzles in new magazine shoot

Posted on 5:46 PM by dvdsvdsdv

Their reconciliation rocked the world of showbusiness - dividing critics and fans - but Rihanna has revealed her relationship with Chris Brown could go all the way, including having children together.
In a sultry shoot for ELLE UK Diamonds temptress Rihanna has revealed plans to start a family with Brown, why she feels compelled to share so much of her life through social media and her hopes for her future.
Divulging the secrets in her life is starting to become important to Rihanna, who was discovered in 2005 and has worked ever since, and the 25-year-old singer has explained this is why she shares so much of her personal life on Instagram.

Showing off her incredible figure and fierce attitude the Man Down singer wears kitten ears and a dark mask in the shoot by Mariano Vivacano while wearing designs by fashion houses Maison Martin Margiela, Louis Vuitton and Givenchy.
Speaking frankly about her relationship with Brown, who assaulted her before the 2009 Grammy Awards, Rihanna said: 'Stay [her new single] is a story about having love that close and wanting it to last forever. You don’t have that feeling with everybody so when you have it you don’t want to let go of it. I would definitely say that he [Chris Brown] is the one I have that kind of relationship with.'
And on the subject of children the Barbadian beauty said: 'I will probably have a kid. And I’m praying I can go on vacation for a good month. And I’ll have set some things up so I don’t have to tour for the rest of my life, even though I love touring. I want health and happiness in five years. I want to be healthy and happy.'

Despite critics branding Rihanna a bad influence on women of her generation for taking Brown back the singer remains unapologetic, explaining: 'Now that we’re adults we can do this right. We got a fresh start and I’m thankful for that. Right now that’s just what we want, a great friendship that’s unbreakable.'
And the social media savvy Rihanna is tired of lying to her fans about her life, explaining she usues Instagram to make it clear the type of person she is.
'Well I Instagram everything about my life, whether it’s smoking pot, in a strip club, reading a Bible verse - how crazy, I know! - or hanging out with my best friend, who happens to be Chris.

'Everybody wanted to know what was happening in my life. Is she a drug addict? No. Is she an alcoholic? No. Is she a victim? No. That’s when I got the gun [tattoo]. It was a symbol of strength. I’ll never be a victim.’
'That’s why I’m posting pictures of myself smoking pot, to tell the truth about myself. I’ve got so much to think about, why bring all this extra s*** by being dishonest?’
But her open attitude doesn't swing with everyone.

'I’m not afraid of any person in this world but my mother. I’m terrified of her!
'She called me two days ago and reeled me in about two naked pictures Melissa [her best friend] put up on Instagram - a sneak-peek from a photo book she’s making about me. My mom, she went crazy on me.
'I was like embarrassed. I felt like I got my ass whupped in front of my class in school! She said, "This was like a private moment and you’re just parading this around." She humbled the f*** out of me.’
Although she appears on the pages of Elle UK in a number of slick designer outfits Rihanna is clearly a fan of the high street, designing a clothing range with River Island.
'High-street shops pay more attention to the kids on the street than to the runways, so in a way I like to mix both. I love a high-end bag or jacket with a simple dress.
'I just thought, I’m going to make something for everybody - every personality, every body type.'
