So, it's refreshing to hear that the savvy business woman is determined to make sure that her own daughter, Arabella, does not become entitled and selfish.
Ivanka - who is pregnant with her second child by husband Jared Kushner - is working hard to make sure that Arabella, 23 months, is being taught grounded lessons in life.
Lessons in life: Ivanka Trump who posed with her daughter Arabella in June is determined that her daughter will not be 'spoiled or bratty'
'We're navigating the sharing thing right now - I think we're, like, 70 percent of the way there,' she told Us Weekly.
'She's really good at telling me I have to share with her. She's less good about actually sharing back.'
And although the 'life lessons' are going well Ivanka, 31, admits that when it comes to sharing food her daughter is still having some problems.
Family values: Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner show their daughter Araberla around Italy during their Italian vacation in Rome in June.

Ivanka - whose father is billionaire property developer and reality star Donald Trump - is proving to be a smart business person in her own right - the handbag, jewellery and shoe designer, recently launched her own perfume line.
And with three brothers Donald Jnr, Eric and Barron, as well as her sister Tiffany, Ivanka certainly knows what it is like to come from a big family.
That's probably why she is so eager to try and instill family values with gorgeous Arabella even at such an early age.
Mothering lessons: Ivana's famous mother Ivana Trump was strict when she raised her daughter
Both Ivanka's father Donald and her mother Ivana Trump were very strict during her childhood and she believes some of this may have rubbed-off on her.
She asid: 'Arabella isn't even 2, so she hasn't thrown me the challenges of a teenager . . . but I have a feeling I'm going to be pretty strict,'
'My mother [Ivana Trump] laid down pretty concrete guidelines and the concept of ''because I said so'' was a totally viable option.'
'The one thing I won't tolerate is her being spoiled or bratty or having poor manners. That's one area [in which] I'll be very strict.'
Proud dad: Billionaire Donald Trump was strict while raising Ivanka but she has turned out to be a successful business woman in her own right
