Why men find it harder than women to read emotions in your face

Posted on 12:01 AM by dvdsvdsdv

Chaps, the next time the woman in your life yells at you for not knowing what she’s thinking, here’s your answer.
You can tell her she’s right – but you can’t help it.

Scientists have confirmed that men really do find it harder to read others’ emotions.
Edinburgh University researchers showed a group of men and women photographs of faces, then asked various questions about them.
Everything all right love?: Men really do find it harder to read other people's emotions, according to a study
Everything all right love?: Men really do find it harder to read other people's emotions, according to a study
Their brains were scanned as they came up with their answers, and their responses were timed.
When asked whether those in the photographs were male or female, or how intelligent they seemed, there was little difference in how the men and women performed.
But when asked to decide how approachable the people in the photographs were, the men took longer.
Pugh
And, despite eventually coming to the same conclusion as the women, they seemed to find it more difficult to formulate their opinions.
Brain scans showed a rush of blood to the region known to be involved in making judgments about emotions.
This, the researchers said, suggests that the male brain has to work harder to make social decisions, to compensate for the fact that it naturally finds these sort of judgments trickier.
Professor Stephen Lawrie, who led the study, said it was designed to give the men enough time to come up with the correct answers. But, faced with snap decisions in real life, they might start misjudging others’ thoughts.
The results, published in the journal PLoS ONE, could lead to new treatments for people with autism, as they often have difficulty in reading faces and in distinguishing between different emotions.
When the researchers carried out the same study with men who had  a condition related to autism, the rush of blood to the emotional judgment area of the brain was even greater.
Professor Lawrie said: ‘Our findings suggest that men have developed strategies to cope with their lesser natural empathy by over-activating the parts of the brain that understand social cues.

‘As this pattern is also seen in people with autism-linked conditions, it suggests we could devise new tools to help patients learn social rules and enhance their skills for engaging with other people.’

'Dinner with the wife': Proud papa-to-be Wiz Khalifa posts photo of him hugging heavily pregnant Amber Rose

Posted on 11:59 PM by dvdsvdsdv

They know their baby is due any day, so perhaps hip hop couple Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose were sneaking in a date night.
The 25-year-old rapper posted a photo Monday to Twitter of himself and fiancee Rose cuddling up together in a private booth at a restaurant, an obviously proud Wiz showing off his good looking baby mama.
'Dinner wit tha wife,' the Rolling Papers singer wrote, calling her his wife in customary fashion, despite the pair not being wed yet.

The 29-year-old model wore a tight grey dress in the photo, emphasizing the fact her bun looks fully cooked and ready to be removed from the oven.
Over the weekend, the trend setter posted a picture of her performing a pre-natal yoga class to her Instagram despite the fact that she's nine months gone.
In the snap, the striking celebrity can be see impressively lifting her legs without a hint of the fatigue you might expect at this stage.

Must keep moving: Rose knows she must keep limber as the birth of her son approaches Must keep moving: Rose knows she must keep limber as the birth of her son approaches
Rose has been documenting her pregnancy diligently via social media.
The beauty, who also posted a tender picture of her kissing fiance Wiz  with the caption 'good morning' is particularly proud of her belly thanks to still having no stretch marks.
Amber catalogued her bump with yet another photo last week as she stood next to a mirror to show it off in all its glory.

'No stretch marks': Amber Rose is due to give birth any day now and has been proudly showing off her bump on Twitter once again'No stretch marks': Amber Rose is due to give birth any day now and has been proudly showing off her bump on Twitter once again
She proudly wrote: '9 months pregnant & no stretch marks on my body thank u Jesus!!! :-).'

And in another photo she happily lets one of her puppies lick her belly, writing as she posts the image: 'Franky giving his lil bruva kisses ;-).'
But it seems Amber is more patient than most when it comes to finally welcoming the tot into the world and is fed up with people telling her how long she's been pregnant for.
She added: 'I gotta be honest it's really irritating to hear ppl say "God, u've been pregnant forever".... I'm making a baby not Ramen noodles.'

Getting ready: She shared another image of one of her dogs kissing her bumpGetting ready: She shared another image of one of her dogs kissing her bump
It seems Amber is considering a home birth as just a few days ago she was seen clutching booklets on the method.
While it was once the normal practice, giving birth at home fell out of favour in the U.S. in the 40s and today fewer than 1 in 100 women opt for it.
But it is clear that Amber Rose is at least looking into the idea.

The final stretch... with no marks: Amber is clearly proud of her bump as she's been showing it off as much as possible in the lead up to the birthThe final stretch... with no marks: Amber is clearly proud of her bump as she's been showing it off as much as possible in the lead up to the birth
While a rare choice in the U.S., giving birth at home remains an option in other developed nations, particularly Holland.
She had earlier shared a photo of her growing bump on her Twitter page yet again, writing: 'The baby was kickin @sammyrexic & @priscillaono Lol they were freaking out ;-)'.
In the snap, Amber is seen tenderly resting hands on her burgeoning tummy.

They may all be from different walks of the showbiz circuit but Kimberley Walsh, Martine McCutcheon and Gemma Atkinson all have something in common: their flawless glowing skin.
And the A-list trio have another thing in common, they each achieve it with the same secret ingredient: rice powder.
Martine, Kimberley and Gemma all use a bargain face scrub using the curious ingredient.

Rice powder has been used for hundreds of years and Japanese geishas in the sixteenth century used rice powder to give a porcelain appearance to their skin.

And modern day scientists back up the theory too. They have discovered that rice powder has a chemical structure similar to ceramide, a substance found on human skin that aids in the production of collagen.

The Kind To Skin Smoothing Facial Scrub by Simple which the women all swear by uses the powder as a key ingredient, and is a rather purse-friendly £3.99 from your local Boots.
Speaking about the product, Caroline Frazer, Skincare Expert for Simple who has worked with the likes of Lily Donaldson and Agyness Deyn, said:'Rice powder is a great ingredient as its a gentle skin loving exfoliator that helps scuff away dead skin cells from the surface of the skin.
'This scrub is crammed full of rice granules, pro-vitamin B5 and vitamin E and is perfect for any sensitive souls out there who want a smoother, brighter and more even textured complexion without irritations.
'It’s also great for prepping those Valentine’s Day pouts! Simply dot a small amount onto a damp cotton wool ball and carefully massage over the lip area to whisk away any dry flaky skin. Finish with a smear of nourishing lip balm.'

What Is Diffrence Between Beats By Dre Studio And Beats By Dre Solo?

Posted on 11:51 PM by dvdsvdsdv
The main difference between the Beats by Dr. Dre Solo headphones and the Monster Beats by Dr. Dre headphones seems to be, for lack of a better word, update. Monster Beats has a better audio quality and is more stylish version of it's predecessor, but if money is your main concern then read this comparison review between the Beats Solo and Monster Beats.Beats by Dr. Dre Studio High Definition Powered Isolation Headphones (Kobe Bryant Limited Edition) is arrived, and it is only $199, the offical price is $499.

Beats By Dre Solo HD does have a pretty slick and stylish design (the beats logo is on the side). The ear muffs are incredibly comfortable. They're "on ear" muffs and are more compact than the original Beats headphones. They have soft padding and a pivot easily and pretty securely. It's constructed much like the Logitech's ClearChat, with sturdy metal coated in soft plastic with some padding at the top to help with comfort. After about an hour and a half, it started to get a little uncomfortable.

Unfortunately the audio is just not that great. It sounds a bit inaudible and even mushy. This is most likely due to over-super-powering low end. Anything that's heavy on the beat isn't probably going to sound good with these headphones. Soft music sounded great, however.

The Monster Beats Dr. Dre headphones are much more stylish than the Beats headphones. The headband is thick and glossy and is also padded at the top for comfort. The Beats logo on the headphones actually acts like a mute button with the on and off switch for the noise canceling feature right underneath (which have to be used in order to use the headphones).

The ear the cuffs are "on ear" as well and are pretty comfortable.
The sound quality is a more stable and crisp than the Beats headphones (actually the sound is shockingly clear). The bass definitely moves but the Monster Beats by Dr. Dre headphones are more balanced. Heavy based headphones normally add unclear audio quality but these sound really good. The headphones do leak however, so people will definitely hear the audio.

In the end if dollar amounts are a big deal, the Beats by Dr. Dre headphones might be for you - but I don't think the sound quality is worth the money. On the other hand, the Monster Beats by Dr. Dre headphones are very
clear sound quality and look even more stylish than the Beats Solo headphones. If you're going to spend this kind of money, you might as well save it for the Monster Beats headphones.

Beats By Dr. Dre Studio Superman For Dwight Howard Limited Edition

Posted on 11:47 PM by dvdsvdsdv
Nowadays more and more people begin to ask - What brand of headphones has NBA super star Dwight Howard wore on her ears? The fashionable headphones whirlwind, however, is much stronger than you could imagine. Many stars and stylish people all swagger through the streets in their Monster Beats by dr.dre headphones. Even Monster Company himself has not expected that their products would have become so popular that Kobe Bryant was fined after post-game press conference for wearing his Beats Studio Limited Edition which he bought himself.

Since the first released, Monster beats by dr. dre headphones has been linked to Fashion. Its sound quality is excellent; however, Monster sets an idea and concept to its products that: First it is Fashionable;

then it is a pair of Headphones. Usually, people would buy something they do not need just for not being OUT. People use headphones widely in daily life; however, seldom someone will buy headphones just for not being OUT. All Monster wanted was to produce a "Fashionable Product" based on the idea of Fashion. NBA superstar Dwight Howard is also a user of Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio, and even the superman limited edition. Moreover, sport stars such as James, kobe and so on, they are also loyal fans of Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio. But not only that, stars like Pharrel williams, WIll.l.am, Eminem, Keri Hillson, and Gwen Stephani are users of Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio too; we can see that in all kinds of entertainment shows. What makes Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio surperman limited edition be basketball superstar Dwight Howard's only love? What makes sport stars be the users of Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio? Why stars show special favor toBeats by Dr. Dre Studio?

Brief Description for Outward Appearance of Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio
Closed Designed earcups, Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio completely enclose your ears to lock out ambient noise. Moreover, Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio has added the Noise Reduction function. Only put two 7# (AAA) batteries into the left earcup and the headphone works. Alternatively, there's the power switch on the right earcup and mute button too - push the "b" logo button and you can pause the music play function and the Noise Reduction function --- It is user-friendly!
Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio supports Folding function. After Folding, though not very small, the headphone could be put into the bonus Rugged Touring Case, which ensures Beats and accessories safe during transport. However, we think that Beats by Dr. Dre Studio is poor in portability - usually when people go out, they would not carry such a bag big enough to hold the Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio and its Rugged Touring Case.
Beats by Dr. Dre Studio uses plastic materials and optimized CMP, the scale feeling is very splendid. This very design does have some drawbacks, however, such as easily being contaminated by fingerprints. Luckily, there's the bonus Clean Cloth!

Additional Features of Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio
In the aspect of Additional Features, Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio can be regarded as a generous American manufacturer. We have checked the following items which fully comply with users' requirements: Touring Case, Clean Cloth, 1/8 inch (3.5mm) Connector, Adapter, Headphone Cable, and Built-in Microphone Cable. With these accessories, Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio gives full play to its performance.

Wearing Effect of Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio
Just as all of the Monster headphones, the outward appearance of Studio is quite fashionable too. From the point of function, Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio is an excellent Noise-Cancelling Headphones, while from outward appearance, it is almost perfect too. Thus, most high-end fashion users take Beats by Dr. Dre Studio as their Advocating-Personal-Style tool. Though Monster Studio is bigger than SOLO, it will not give you any feeling of suddenness when wearing, and it is also very fashionable for MM. Additionally, Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio also has white color for user choice.

Sound quality
I feel like I am on stage at a concert wearing the Studio Beats by Dr Dre. The sound focus around the user making for a really intense experience. A bit bass heavy but at the right level enhancing the music instead of ruining it. I have listened to all kinds of music wearing the Studios, and the result is always the same but the reaction depends on the surroundings. Listening to In Flames at home turns me into an air guitarist kneeling in front of my hall mirrors playing like crazy. At work listening to some big band it turns into some soft chair dancing not to disturb my colleagues. Worst of course is being out walking listening to Jay Z or Eminem as it turns into my totally own impression of hip hop dance. Needless to say the Studios does what Apple says about their own in-ear headphones, it lets you rediscover your music.
I have to mention the poor microphone as well as it is completely useless, and this drags the sound quality rating down. I have yet to complete a phone call without having to unplug the Studios because the person at the other end has had trouble hearing me. The sound is tinny, and really muted for the recipient making them useless as your handsfree headset. This is a shame as it would be really cool to have both headphones, and decent handsfree in the same product. The microphone lets you control the play/pause, and Voice Control making it really useful anyway. But please don't buy the Studios expecting to use them as your handsfree headset.

Noise isolation
The noise cancellation of the Studios is a mixed bag. On the one hand it works quite well blocking out unwanted sounds such as computers humming, fans whirring and chairs moving. On the other hand it can't be turned off, the headphones are either powered or completely silent. Voices and high pitched sounds still filter through although somewhat muted which is ok.
When used with my Macbook the Studios hum when I don't play any audio. This background hum is drowned easily by music, but if you for example listen to classical music with silent parts I can't recommend the Studios.
You can easily interact with people around you pressing the (b) on the right headphone to mute the music. I can hear both myself, and the person I talk to clearly using this feature. But since the button needs to be held you can just as well take the Studios off as you look silly standing around holding the button. I think this function should have a proper on/off switch to make it useful. Standing at the supermarket handling the wallet with one hand, and holding the (b) with the other is not practical at all.

The good: The Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphonesoffer a stylish and comfortable design as well as an exceptionally crisp and balanced audio response with a tight low-end and warm mids. Included are a nice carrying case and a music-phone-compatible cable.
The bad: The Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphones cannot be used without batteries, they're expensive, and the glossy black design is very smudge-prone.
The bottom line: The Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphones deliver the trifecta of sleek, comfortable design, useful features, and top-notch sound quality. If you can afford them, they're a worthy investment toward an improved listening experience.
Hotsalemarts.com focus on headphones business for almost 5 years, We provide Professional Beats by Dr. Dre headphones with competitive price and high quality. All items Made by OEM factory in China. Brand new with original packaging.

Posted on 6:27 PM by dvdsvdsdv

Our very own Matt Lawton picked up the Brian Woolnough award for best England writer. Read about it HERE
Steven Gerrard has been voted the Football Association's England player of the year for the second time.
The Liverpool midfielder received the award from Sir Bobby Charlton at the FA England awards ceremony at St George's Park on Sunday night.
Gerrard, who had previously lifted the award in 2007, finished ahead of Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck, with Chelsea defender Ashley Cole third.
Gerrard joins Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard and Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney in lifting the award twice.
The 32-year-old was one of England's best performers at Euro 2012 when he set up a series of goals with his deadly delivery from set pieces.

The award completes a memorable period for Gerrard, who was handed the England captaincy by manager Roy Hodgson ahead of the finals in Ukraine and Poland.
More than 180,000 votes were cast by supporters on TheFA.com website, a record for the player poll since David Beckham was crowned in 2003.
Left-back Stephanie Houghton was voted England women player of the year.
Houghton was a star performer for Team GB during the Olympic Games and scored the winner against Brazil.
Other notable award winners included the women's senior team, who were voted Club England team of the year.

The men's under-21 and women's under-23 players of the year awards went to Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson and Toni Duggan respectively.
The evening was part of The FA's 150th anniversary programme and celebrated the work of the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK.
FA chairman David Bernstein said: 'Clearly The FA England Awards is about much more than prize-giving and honouring those who have achieved.
'The elite level is the pinnacle of a pyramid that makes English football so special.
'They are the inspiration to over two million people regularly playing football in this country. All involved at every level deserve our recognition and respect.'
